Turn raw session logs into readable transcripts

A raw Claude Code session is structured for a tool, not a reader. InstaShare reconstructs the conversation into distinct user and assistant turns while preserving the technical material people need to understand the work.

Clear conversational hierarchy

User requests, assistant responses, tool activity, and interruptions receive visually distinct treatment.

Less protocol noise

Internal records and known bookkeeping messages are omitted from the conversation view when they do not help a reader.

Original detail remains accessible

The Details view exposes more of the captured tool activity when a concise narrative is not enough.

Conversation and details serve different readers

Conversation view emphasizes the exchange between the person and Claude. It groups adjacent assistant records into coherent turns and keeps tool calls compact so the reasoning is not buried under payloads.

Details view is intended for technical review. It retains richer tool information and makes it easier to inspect what a command, file operation, or agent actually received and returned.

Formatting follows the content

Text is rendered with common Markdown structures such as headings, lists, links, tables, inline code, and fenced code blocks. User images and tool-result images appear beside the turn where they occurred.

Local command output, interrupted requests, slash-command wrappers, and interactive questions receive dedicated presentation rather than being shown as undifferentiated JSON.

Readable does not mean edited by InstaShare

The viewer reorganizes and formats the uploaded records; it does not use another model to summarize or rewrite the conversation. Except for local secret redaction performed by the skill and server-side image rewriting, the substance comes from the source session.

How it works

01

Parse the records

Each non-empty JSONL line is interpreted as a session event.

02

Associate tool results

Tool-use identifiers connect calls with the output captured later in the log.

03

Normalize turns

Known system noise is filtered and related assistant records are grouped.

04

Render for the web

The page adds navigation, formatting, copy controls, and responsive layout.

Important limits

  • Some protocol and bookkeeping records are intentionally hidden from the main conversation view.
  • A malformed JSONL line cannot be interpreted like a normal event and may be represented as a parse error.

Try it in a Claude Code session.

Install the readable skill, then say “share this chat” when the conversation is ready.
